Hi, I'm Matthew, and I'd like to share a little about why this space exists and the heart behind SensoryChairs.com. A few years ago, my wonderful little boy, Myles, was diagnosed with autism. He's now almost seven, full of curiosity and energy, and constantly teaching me how to see the world in brighter colours and through fresh perspectives.
One of Myles' favourite things in the world is what he lovingly calls his "spinny" – a spinning chair that's become much more than a piece of furniture in our home. It's his safe place, his way to regulate after a busy day, and a source of pure joy. Whether he's using it to relax, ground himself, or just for fun, the spinny is his special tool for finding balance and calm in the chaos of everyday life. Watching the way it helps him inspired me to think about how other families could benefit from sensory tools tailored to their unique needs.
